Rahma is the CEO and Founder of Asal Africa. She is a seasoned development practitioner with over 20 years of experience in public policy, institutional development, strategic planning, and public administration reform.
Rahma has held leadership roles across the non-profit and public sectors. As a management professional with extensive experience working in government, private sector, and development actors, she has led diverse teams across large projects. Rahma has a proven track record in strategic management and consensus building. She has led non-profits in the UK and served in various technical advisory capacities to the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS), where she focused on public management and administration, institutional reform, and aid coordination. Rahma is a certified executive leadership coach and qualified in organizational change management. She has a wide-ranging experience in working with leaders and decision makers to improve institutional governance and effectiveness by adopting a practical approach to problem solving through strategic management and consensus building. She holds an MSc in Public Policy and Management from SOAS University of London and an Executive Leadership Coaching certificate from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.
